1. You need to have an G Suite account

3. Need to purchase Chrome device licenses to manage them in Google Admin console.

There are 2 types of licenses:

  • Perpentual – can be transferred to a similar model from the same manufacturer.
  • Yearly – can be transferred to any model from any manufacturer. Licenses purchased mid-term are prorated

4. If you want to enroll more than 10 devices, you need to purchase Chrome device management. You can sign up for a 60day TRIAL. 5. Next you need to enroll the Chromebooks

Restrict login to domain users only

  •  Go to Device Management
  •  Go to Chrome Management
  •  Go to Device Settings
  •  Look under Sign-in Settings
  • set “guest mode” to “do not allow Guest mode”
  • in “Sign-in Restriction” type “*@yourDomainName”

Move Chrome Device to another OU

  1. Go to Device management > Chrome management.
  2. On the Chrome management settings page, click Devices.
  3. If necessary, click Filters filter at the top to open your organization tree at the left.
  4. In tree at the left, click the organization the device is in now. Devices that haven’t  been moved are in the top-level organization.Tip: If you don’t know which organization a device is in, search for the device’s serial number in the search field at the left.
  5. Check the box next to the device you want to move.
  6. At the top, click Move to.
  7. Choose the new organization from the dialog box. Click again to confirm.

Factory reset your Chromebook

  1. Sign out of your Chromebook.
  2. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r.
  3. Click Restart.

Apply new settings to Chomebook without having to Log Out & In

In browser type “chrome:\\policy”
Click “Reload Policy”

Web Filter

Log in to your G Suite account at admin.google.com.
Navigate to Devices
On the left expand Devices > Chrome > Settings > Users & browsers > URL bocking.
Select the Organizational Unit on the left you to which you want this to be applied
Scroll down to Content.

How to install Chrome extensions

On the left expand Chrome > Apps & Extensions > Users & browsers.

How to disable Incognito mode on Chromebook?

Log in to your G Suite account at admin.google.com.
Navigate to Devices > Chrome > User Settings.
Scroll down to Security.
Select the ‘Disallow incognito mode’ option from the dropdown for the Incognito Mode field.
